The 2020 Kennewick Grid Kids season is upon us! We all look forward to another great season for this year. None of this is possible without the support of the City of Kennewick, volunteers, coaches, players and the many parents that support this league. Thank you!
Kennewick Grid Kids will be offering online registration again this season! You can register your player for cheerleading, tackle or flag football online. After listening to some feedback, we have also streamlined the online process once again and in-person paperwork. You will again be able to electronically sign your waiver forms this year. IF YOU ARE NEW PLAYER IN 2020, you will need to bring a copy of your birth certificate for each participant in tackle football, unless you upload it online.

* Any player registering that is 14 years of age before July 1st must submit proof that they will not be entering high school in the fall. A final 7th grade report card, with a date on it, is one such example of proof.
Kennewick Grid Kids does institute a MAXIMUM player weight limit for all of its participants. All players must weight no more than 185 pounds at the time of registration. If a child fails to meet the first max weight weigh-in, they will be eligible for ONE re-weigh during one of the 2020 regular registration sessions (listed below). There will be no exceptions. Pre weigh ins on KGK scales are not allowed under any circumstance.
Financial assistance packages are available for families who need it. To apply complete an online application prior to registering. Applications may take up to 7 business days to process.
Dates, times, and process will be announced once we have more information on Washington State guidelines for gatherings in July.
Information on gear pick up, tryouts, and season start dates will be available once Benton County is approved for Phase 3 of Washington's Safe Start Plan.
Tackle players are assigned a team through the tryout and draft process. Siblings of tackle players will automatically be assigned to the same team. Once assigned to a tackle team, players will remain a member of that team for all future seasons. Flag players and cheerleaders without a tackle sibling are randomly assigned to a team based on team needs.
A new player who wishes to play for the same organization that his/her older family member (sibling no longer playing, parent, or grandparent only) played or coached for may request assignment to that team by filling out a Grandfather Request Form online and providing convincing evidence of their family's tie to the organization. If approved the player will be added to the organization's roster.
Kennewick Grid Kids operates all games on Saturdays at Eastgate Park in Kennewick. This location, near the fairgrounds, has been the gameday location for KGK since the early 1990s. This helps to ensure that our families get to watch their young ones perform at one location all year long with no out of town travel.
Practice locations for our 6 organizations occur at a variety of different Kennewick School District properties. Most teams practice 3 days a week on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.
Registration refunds will be made available for COVID-19 related season cancellations. Custom uniform fees will be eligible for refund until ordered.
