About

Kennewick Grid Kids

Kennewick Grid Kids Association (KGK) was formed to meet a need for youth sports opportunities, specifically football and cheer, in the Tri-Cities area of Washington State. It is our mission to provide opportunities for athletic participation that fosters achievement, respect, equity, enthusiasm, and excellence in a safe and organized environment.  In 2017, as part of our quest to fulfill that mission, we utilized the skills of approximately 175, mostly parent, volunteers to coach, train, develop, and mentor 660 boys and girls ages 5-13 in our tackle, flag, and cheer programs. We also served approximately 30 young men, mostly former players, ages 14-17 in our referee training program providing them with an opportunity to develop and practice workplace and career skills.  In addition, we provided member participants with opportunities to give back to their community through awareness initiatives involving veterans and local cancer patients.

We are always on the lookout for volunteers with a passion to help our youth. Please consider helping KGK in its endeavors.
